New Attitude

Since you all know I gave up on the "Dawn Challenge" and started Jenny Craig last Monday..I am pleased to anouce that I have lost over 6lbs. I am still doing the Zumba and really sticking to the plan! I know most of that is water weight, but I am happy whatever it is!!!

Thanks for all the encouraging emails and comments! You guys ROCK!

Day 10

DAWN CHALLENGE

Today was not so bad...I am looking forward to going out tonight to Mercato, a little restaurant close to my house.

Today's Food Log

2 egg whites on flat raisin bread with a slice of american cheese

3 oz tuna with tomatoes and red onion in a 1/2 whole wheat pocket

low fat greek yogurt with fresh blue berries

Tonight I plan on having the Grilled Shrimp with feta  at Mercato and a few cocktails.

It's SUPER SATURDAY...Live it up!

SHUT UP...JUST SHUT UP


Day 9

Today was spent in the house cleaning and working on the blog with Barbara....there was ZERO exercise. Maybe if Mother Nature would throw me a bone and it wasn't so crappy out all the time I would feel a little bit better! I need Vitamin D. I need Summer. I need to trade in the mini van.....

Breakfast -
4 jelly munchkins (yeah...that's right and I would've had more if I felt better)
xtra large decaf with skim milk and splenda

Lunch -
1 1.2 slices of pizza

Snack -
1 cup if a cup is a bowl of cheeze itz
TLC Peanut Chew bar

Dinner -
Egg Drop Soup
Vegetable Egg Roll

Tomorrow is another day...didn't get on the scale today...I am waiting til Monday

Who thought this was a good idea anyway??? Stupid food log below.
3 egg whites and peanut chew TLC bar
tuna in water in a whole wheat pocket
shrimp with brown rice (1/4 cup cooked) and salad
1 weight watchers cookie

water...coffee...water....coffee BLAH BLAH BLAH!

SCALE HAS NOT MOVED!!!! I AM STARTING TO FREAK OUT OVER HERE!!!!

SHUT UP & PUT UP

Day 6

DAWN CHALLENGE...SUCKS!

I need a quick fix. I hate the scale NOT moving! I am considering having sex with my husband to burn off calories...THAT'S HOW DESPERATE!

Today's Menu
1 egg white on 1 slice of whole wheat for breakfast
Lunch was a weight watchers frozen Santa Fe something or other and then I had Angel hair pasta with chunky tomato sauce and a piece of chicken cutlet parm without breadcrumbs and used Parmesan instead of Mozzarella
I did the zumba on the wii again - it's starting to bug me.

Considering other avenues if this sensible eating and exercising crap doesn't kick into gear.

SHUT UP & PUT UP

Day 5-

Today was an eventful day. I got up and grabbed a XL decaf with skim milk and splenda. I had a TLC Peanut Chew bar and ran around with a friend who just lost their Grandmother. There was really no time or thought about eating.

Tonight I had sweet potato fries (not many) a piece of steak the size of a deck of cards and some salad.

There was no exercising, but I did walk the mall from 10 til 2. She did inspire me today...watching her rock the size 0 made me really want to amp everything up!

My prayers and thoughts are with my dear friend Robin and her family.

SHUT UP AND PUT UP

The clocks have been turned ahead. We have already broke the 70 degree mark last week here in the Northeast. Why is it that this winter just won't go? Living on the coast we have narrowly escaped most of the snow accumulation so far today, but you never know what Mother Nature has in store for later tonight. I am starting to think she is sending me a sign.

Weeks ago I swore I was going to start my get back into shape routine. I swore that I would drop at least ten pounds before I went away. That didn't happen. It is now only 65 days or 9 weeks til the unofficial kick off to summer, the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Maybe I need help. Maybe if I had to check in with all of you weekly I would actually JUST DO IT.

So today I make a pledge. I will drop the ten pounds as I begin the first official Dawn Needs to get Serious Challenge. I will do at least 1 hour of activity a day. I will log all food intake each day and I will drink at least 8 glasses of water a day....who's with me?
