WALK ME TO THE MOON

Jillian B. Hart
Walk me to the moon
To the place
Where all that we once imagined might be
That place that dreams could touch
Above and beyond the light
Untouchable triumph and majesty
Banishing darkness in a sea of stars
In what was once our field of dreams

Walk me to the moon
To that place I still dare to remember
Young love...
Faithful, constant, bright & foolish...
Believing you never run out of time.
The willingness to give
Without getting in return
Without needing.
Knowing you are enough.

Walk me to the moon
To that place I think of
With a haunted flutter in my heart
when memories swim in my eyes and escape down my cheeks
Bathed in a light once so pure
That it blinded us

Walk me to the moon
That place daydreams are made of
Lift me on the summer breeze
And angel wings
To that place that cannot be
But forever is

Walk me to the moon
That place in your heart
With the warm glow
It cannot be hidden
Like the full moon's light
It'll always be...
Whenever you need it
Feel the warmth - that's where I'll be
Wrapped around you embraced by our memory

Walk me to the moon
That place where I see the reflection
Of smiling eyes...
Brighter then sunshine
Where healing goes on and life survives
Banishing darkness in a sea of wishes, in that endless sea of stars
Loving your life doesn't mean that you forget having been blinded too

Walk me to the moon
That place where Memories...
Always paint a picture in the sky
Every detail changes
Yet the love remains the same
Love and light are eternal
Flood me with warmth
that forever dances in my dreams
brilliant as moonbeams at ebony's darkest edge

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON...

Jillian B Hart
Hello... It's been a while...
That happen sometimes in life.  Sometimes more then others. Somethings go in and out of our lives.  Some people go in and out of our lives.  Yet remain in our hearts.  Precious and treasured beyond words.  Feelings and reflections that words can't explain.  Those rare moments that are breath taking.  That steal the breath from your lungs.  When memories swim in your eyes and escape down your cheeks. People that do that to you.  That connect to your soul are rare.  They fill up darkness with brilliant blaze. Like a full moon decorates the endless ebony night.  They touch places inside of you that you didn't know you could feel.  Give you a high that compares with nothing except those moments that are exceptional, those moments that happen once in a blue moon.

It's been almost three years since the last blue moon. If you are a lunar gazer like me, you'll be stepping outside to take in the extraordinary view tomorrow night.  A full moon - much like any other... yet has special significance. Like those people who are forever linked to you with heartstrings.  Others may see just another friend... yet you know that their impact on you has been a force of light in your life... a rare treasure, something that happens "once in a blue moon"... your life without them, no matter how big or small the role they currently play, is inconceivable.

Look at that moon.  It doesn't come again for a long time.  Breathe it in and think about who is in your thoughts and envision all those that fill up your heart. That have left footprints on your soul.  Be sure to catch a moonbeam and make a wish for your "Harts" desire!  Take a moment and have gratitude for all that was, all that wasn't, all that is, and all that will be... That's what life is, a series of moments shared with those you love that makes you who you are today. My poem, Walk Me To The Moon, is dedicated to the "Blue Moons" of my life... not having them, not having those rare moments, is unimaginable!  XOXO

TALKING TO THE MOON

JILLIAN B. HART
Pictures can't do it justice and there aren't the words to describe all it's beauty and light... Or the emotion of how looking at it makes you feel... The way it can fill up the even the most perfect darkness...

The full moon gives you enough in the time it has to leave behind the silent celebration and security of knowing its there ...even when you can't see it, nor touch it, or hold it...

Perhaps that why I'm drawn to the moon...
Perhaps because it's so much like us...

SOUL FOOD

Barbara Ward-Finneran
WHISPERS TO THE MOON
Before me the light dances with the clouds. Shadows dart and the scenes slip from sight endlessly changing with a touch of grace from the heavens. Bright light falls behind the darkness. Amber hues beg for it to be known that loves illumination is still present. Still real even when hidden from all views. Even when forced from the forefront. Ever glowing and rebounding. Seemingly beaming stronger with every change and recovery. Each Ray that fights for light promising that from the darkness the warmth of light is born and when embraced is appreciated beyond measure. Life blends moments of unobscured light with wandering in the wanes of the overcoming blue blackness. The depths of neither can be comprehended without the other. For they exist endlessly not in spite of the way they compete to be, but rather because the greatest darkness, or the perfection of brilliance illuminated, does not have life without it's counterpart. Light in the darkness, is to love, as the air that we breathe is to life, as the full moon will forever be to night.

OLD WIVES TALES

Dawn Boyle

After reading Marions' post about the "extreme" Super Moon it got me thinking. When I was pregnant with Sarah the pregnancy that lasted forever, I would stand outside under the moon and BEG for her to come out needless to say it didn't work. Makes me wonder how many women will go into labor tonight with the Super Moon. How many women will get pregnant after this weekends event. There are many old wives tales that support a woman's balance with the moon. I totally agree with it and have proof, all the women in my house have been very hormonal and it seems to me that there are a bunch of crazies out on the road today...

Be safe...send us your pictures of the moon tonight to delayedreactionlounge@gmail.com we will do a blog with our favorite entries entries.  Captions will be placed on photos used within the blog to credit the photographer.  Please include a line in the email that states, I, ________, took this full moon picture and allow Delayed Reaction Lounge to post it.  Pictures need to be an attachment rather then pasted  into the body of the email.

Perhaps, Jillian can be enticed to share an escapade involving a full moon and use the photos there.

PARANORMAL PUB "SUPER MOON"

Predictions for the “Super Moon”
Marion Pellicano Ambrose

Tonight and tomorrow night, the moon will be as close to the earth as it has been in almost 20 years. Scientists refer to this as a “Super Moon”, but because this evening the moon will be at the fullest part of its cycle, it’s being referred to as an “Extreme Super Moon”. Some people believe that the moon’s gravitational pull during this phenomenon, also called a “lunar perigee”, causes catastrophic disturbances here on the earth.

An American astrologer named Richard Nolle, claims to have predicted disasters such as the World Trade Center Bombings in 1993. He now predicts dangerous storm surges, catastrophic earthquakes, and severe storms will occur because of the influence of this Super Moon during the period of March 16th through the 22nd.  He pointed out that the Christchurch earthquake of 2010 (7.1 on the Richter scale) and Hurricane Katrina (2005), both took place during a lunar perigee.

Regardless of the possible impending doom, the spectacle in the night sky on March 18th and 19th will be a site to behold. The moon will seem bigger than life and present a perfect photo opportunity for camera buffs and star gazers alike.

So who will be correct, the astrologer or the scientist?  We just may find out tonight!
