SHE SAID.....
Dawn Boyle
While Tony was trying to "see" me, as he posted on HE SAID, SHE SAID earlier today, on Saturday, as I too, was at Big Time Rush with my girls and our friends, "points" for Tony actually taking his kids to the mall. I'm not sure if Greg would know where the mall is and I would bet a million dollars he would NEVER take them to see a boy band.

This past Saturday after I took the brats... I mean... kids to see Big Time Rush at Sunrise Mall (the kids wanted to see them. I wanted to see Boyle) we grabbed some lunch at Jake's Wayback Burgers. We brought it home & my wife was there all excited about us bringing food home. Problem is I didn't know she was going to be there. I thought she was going to be at her other home, AKA Hot Yoga. I didn't her anything from Jakes. Now I know what you're thinking.... just give her some of yours! Well it's not that easy. My wife is a vegan so there is no way she would take a piece of my burger. She grabbed some of my fries but she knows not to take too much because it's widely known that I would sacrifice my mother for some fries.

WHAT MATTERS?
Barbara Ward-Finneran
What Matters? What really matters? What matters today and right now, can change in an instant. No matter how hard you try to live a good life, follow your conscience and consistently do the right thing, bad things happen to good people. We have personal failures, relationships implode, people get sick, suffer and die, people die tragically, accidents happen, disabilities exist, people disappoint us, hearts get broken, jobs are lost, finances go to ruin, foreclosures run a muck, the list goes on and on. WHY? WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?Life can be trudging along of so happily and then in an instant the life that you knew and embraced ceases to exist. My first taste of this was when my grandfather died. I was twenty-three at the time and it was the biggest loss of my life. Little did I know at the time that it was nothing in comparison to what would follow about 18 months later, a few days after my wedding shower, when my Dad went to sleep and never woke up. The shock was so horrifying

IT'S A DOG'S LIFE
Marion Pellicano Ambrose
If it’s true that the type of dog you own says something about you, then I’m in big trouble! And if owners really do look like their dogs, it’s much, much worse than I thought! We have 4 dogs. The first is a 15 year old half schitzu / half silkie terrier. She’s totally deaf, has only 3 teeth, and her breath can kill. Our second dog is a Welsh Pembroke Corgi named Dudley. He’s nervous, waddles when he walks and is the epitome of stubborn! Dog #3 is a sheltie that we rescued. She was abused and used to be scared to death of men.

No Matter How Long & Hard A Winter Is...
SPRING IS SURE TO FOLLOW

Dawn Boyle
Welcome to the Northeast! Today we woke up to another picturesque Winter Wonderland. It was only a few days ago when the temperature hit 60' and the kids wanted to wear shorts. We have to remember - it still is winter! February is normally the month when we get the most snow. The few inches we have been coated with today is nothing.

Lunch Time Poll
Dawn & Barbara
Today's Lunch Time Poll is about holidays without major family obligations, ie., presents to wrap, people to see, food to cook, traffic to sit in... What is your favorite thing to do on a holiday that is actually a "play" day??

How is it possible that doing nothing can make you overwhelmed?
A change in direction would be empowering. Yet so often we stall out at that place just before the turn that moves us forward. There is a mistaken safety that comes from the sameness that surrounds us. Push past it! Break out of the box and challenge yourself to choose something new. Invigorate yourself with the anticipation of the unknown. Risking failure only maximizes the celebration of success. You can do it!

IS THAT WHAT WE SAY?
Dawn Boyle
Happy Presidents Day, is that what we say to each other? We get today off and I know it's to honor Washington and Lincoln, but is this a holiday when you don't have to do anything? No cooking a special meal, no running around getting gifts, nothing. I am really starting to appreciate President's Day.
