"LEAVE THE FAT GIRL HOME!"

Barbara Ward-Finneran

"Leave the fat girl home!"  Those can be wicked words.  Words that sting to the core of a girl's being.  Whether just a few pounds over ideal weight or obese - no female I know, "out there", fancies being referred to as "fat"!

Having "found myself", after being morbidly obese for longer then I can to admit to, I recently learned that "Leave the fat girl home!" is something I now must mentally say to myself.  In this process of recovery, I have embraced that you choose everyday which direction to walk on your personal journey.  Mistakes happen.  Sometimes you take steps backward. There are days you leap ahead.  However, for me, I know I have company on the adventure - for I have a "fat soul" and it will never leave me.

THE HOT LIST

Jillian B. Hart

Life can be wicked.  Always so much to do... family, relationships, kids, work, household, dare I include social events, and all the details and hours entangled into those obligations.  Is it any wonder that relationships fall by the way side.  It's all to easy to allow the alliance that you have with your partner to fall to the bottom of the priority list.  WHY?!?! Shouldn't the relationship that is the biggest part of your life get a larger piece of the pie?  When there is stress present in that arena it carries over into other areas.  So why not focus some attention there? If your mate is happier and more attentive - chances are you will be too.  The trickle down affect can create positive repercussions across the board. There's no time, no energy, no funds... are all easy cop outs.  If you want it, make it happen.

It's a no brainer that when you put effort and time into something - it means more to you. Instead of accepting the lack of excitement find a way to foster and fabricate it.

WANNA LAUGH?!?! ...The Late Show - Rated M for Mature

Tony Walker

The other night I went to a bar & bumped into Dawn Boyle. What a nice surprise! Much to her disappointment, I sat down right next to her. I gave her a nice up & down look, then glance down at my watch.

Dawn notices this & asks, "Is your date running late?"

"No," I say, "I just bought this state of the art watch & I was testing it."

"A state of the art watch?" Dawn asks, "What's so special about it?"

"Well uses alpha waves to telepathically talk to me," I explain.

Boyle giggles & ask, "What's it telling you now?"

I reply, "Well it says you're not wearing any panties."

After spitting her drink Boyle says, "Well it must be broken because I am wearing panties."

That's when I realized the damn thing was an hour fast.

No Matter How Long & Hard A Winter Is...

SPRING IS SURE TO FOLLOW

Dawn Boyle

Welcome to the Northeast! Today we woke up to another picturesque Winter Wonderland. It was only a few days ago when the temperature hit 60' and the kids wanted to wear shorts. We have to remember - it still is winter! February is normally the month when we get the most snow. The few inches we have been coated with today is nothing.

"What Do I Know About He Said, She Said?"

HE SAID...
Tony Walker

Someone help me please!!! I just realized that I am not a man!!!
Let me rephrase that... I am not a typical man.

In the week since the Lounge opened, I've been told that my closest friends who are men & I are the minority because we do/help with the dishes, laundry, kids, etc. Now I read the post by Jillian, "Seven Minutes, Really?" (Click the purple to read) & I am shocked. Did some clown on "The Doctors" show really say he gets bored if he spends more than seven minutes pleasuring his woman?! (Click the purple to see the show clip) Either that guy is a moron or I am... don't respond to that Boyle....
