GLEE IS SHAKIN' RATTLIN' & ROLLIN'

 Marion Pelicano Ambrose

Are you a “Gleek”? If so, you’re in good company.  The hit show “GLEE” has become the #1 show of teens as well as the #3 favorite among the 18-49 crowd.  It’s hard to argue with 16 million song downloads, the #1 soundtrack of 2010, 2 Grammy Award nominations, and 19 Emmy and 11 Golden Globe nominations. Glee scored with 4 Emmy Awards in 2010 as well. There is a long list of other awards (Peabody, Screen Actors Guild etc) but I think you get the point. Glee is a cultural phenomenon!

WICKED IS AS WICKED DOES

Barbara Ward-Finneran
I am a big believer in the idea that you have the power within you to create your own happiness.  Foster your own dreams and fashion a reality that is the sum of your combined goals and talents.  The life you dare to imagine dwells in your spirit and feeds your soul.  To change anything, to create anything that you imagine or desire takes one thing - YOU.

If you get lost in the doubts.  Let reason rule why it can't be done.  Listen to the nay-sayers. Abide in negativity. Or allow impossible to be in your vocabulary. You have already put the writing on your own wall.

You are meant to have an astounding life! To accomplish your own greatness.  To have love and happiness abound.  You have to believe it!  Desire it!  Want it!  Speak it into being with your thoughts words and deeds.  Challenges will surface and if you view them as tools to learn and grow rather then as just obstacles and endings - things seems to turn a corner sooner.

SHUT UP AND STAY FOCUSED....UGGGH!

SCALE HAS NOT MOVED!!!! I AM STARTING TO FREAK OUT OVER HERE!!!!

BLOAT BLOG...

Marion Pellicano Ambrose

OK, so why is it that women have to retain so much water and men don’t?  I take a medication called Furosemide to keep my ankles and legs from becoming swollen. My husband and I went away for a few days and I forgot the meds.  I came home and “poof” my ankles, knee and legs blew up like a hot air balloon at a county fair! I can almost hear the “swish” of water as I walk!  I cut out salt, I drink lots of water (which I hate), cut out soda, I keep moving as much as I can, and I drink tea from morning till night. So why am I still the marine version of the good year blimp?

My husband on the other hand, eats salted peanuts all day, drinks cases of Diet Coke, pours about a pound of salt on all his food, and never retains an ounce of water! It’s true he’s very active, but come on, is this fair?

It’s the same story when trying to lose weight. I eat enough veggies to rival a rabbit, cut out just about everything with taste and that little needle on the scale doesn’t budge. He eats 1 large bowl of Fruit Loops instead of his usual 2 and loses 5 pounds!  Based on these facts alone, I have concluded that God must be a man!

Am I the only one with this problem? Is there a man out there somewhere that suffers along with us women when it comes to water retention and weight? And most importantly, does anyone have a suggestion as to what can help deal with these issues besides more medication?  Please respond to my “ Bloat Blog”  and let me know!

WANNA LAUGH?!?!?!

Tony Walker

A man goes skydiving for the first time. After listening to the instructor for what seemed like days, he is ready to go. Excited, he jumps out of the airplane. After a bit, he pulls the ripcord.
Nothing happens.
He tries again.
Still nothing.
He starts to panic, but remembers the backup chute. He pulls that cord.
Nothing happens.
He frantically begins pulling both cords but to no avail.
Suddenly he looks down & he can't believe his eyes. Another man is in the air with him, but this guy is going up!
Just as the other guy passes the sky diver-who is now scared out of his wits-he yells, "Hey! Do you know anything about skydiving?"
The other guy yells back, "No! Do you know anything about gas stoves?"

What do you get when you cross LSD with birth control?
A trip without the kids!!!

THIS MAN'S VIEW OF WICKED...

Tony Walker
So here's one that will spark a lot of people.
Swinging & Swapping!!!

In one of my earlier posts I mentioned something about doing road construction right outside a swingers club. Let me tell you... for a perv like me who was in his prime seeing the sexiest women walking into this place was unreal.

Let me say something right now... when I say the sexiest women I mean classy sexy, not some gal in a mini skirt.

Working in front of this place & seeing all these women sparked my interest. I was 24 or 25 at the time. Truth be told, I didn't even know these places existed until this night. During a break I walked over. I had to see what was going on. The bouncer would not let me in. I told the guy the truth that I never saw one of these places, it's freezing outside (which it was) & I just wanna take a peek. I won't bother anybody. So the bouncer still wouldn't let me in to the club but he let me into the lobby & opened the door to the club. For about 15 seconds I stood at the doorway watching an amazing site. Girls dancing with girls....and god knows what else.
This my friends to me, was heaven.

Those 15 seconds were burned in my brain. I was like the dog in those commercials.... "Kibbles & Bits, Kibbles & Bits....." only I was saying, "Swingers club, swingers club."

My former wife wanted no part of it, even though her best friend at the time turned out to be a swinger. We didn't know it until I told them about this club. It was then that this girl admitted to not only being a bi sexual, but a swinger and was dying to have some fun with my wife.  NO OTHER WORD COMES TO MING BUT.... BOING!!!!

LUNCH TIME POLL

Dawn Boyle

The new season of Dancing with the Stars is in full swing. I was never really a fan before this season, in fact I only watched when that Train Wreck Kate was on because I needed to witness the horror first hand. This season, two of my all time favorites from the 80's (best era ever) are center stage and I am sure  Kirstie Alley & Ralph Macchio will be in the final 3...KIRSTIE WINNER!

Today's Lunch Time Poll is

Who is your favorite on DWTS and who will win???
Who goes home tonight???

REMINDER....SHINE A LIGHT ON AUTISM

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT WEAR BLUE
ON FRIDAY APRIL 1ST
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
SHINE A LIGHT ON AUTISM

Marion Pellicano Ambrose

“Autism” is a term used to describe a group of complex developmental brain disorders
known as Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD, PDD-NOS), Asperger's Syndrome,
Rett Syndrome and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder. They are also known as Autism
Spectrum Disorders.

Today, it is estimated that one in every 110 children is diagnosed with autism, making it
more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined.
It is estimated that 1.5 million individuals in the U.S. and tens of millions worldwide are
affected by autism. According to Government statistics, the prevalence rate of autism
is increasing 10-17 % each year. Boys are four times more likely than girls to develop
autism.

According to Autism Speaks, “Treatment for autism is a very intensive, comprehensive
undertaking that involves the child's entire family and a team of professionals.”

It takes great commitment and a whole lot of love to help these very special children! But
I can tell you from my experiences with students I’ve taught and the children of friends
who are diagnosed with Autism, they are WELL worth the time and effort! Each and
every one is a unique and wondrous individual and we are all blessed when we have the
opportunity to be a part of their lives.

People across North America are joining Autism Speaks to “shine a light” on autism by
raising awareness in local communities.

We invite everyone to show support for the Fourth Annual World Autism Awareness
Event on April 1. Wear BLUE clothing to work or school to “shine a light” on Autism
Spectrum Disorders.

Dreams take risks. You have to expect that more is possible and dare to create all that you fancy. Believe in limitless possibilities and find the faith and courage to know it's only impossible - if you let it be impossible. Soar you spirit to new heights with each small goal.  Dream big and fear not, go where your heart takes you and make it "REAL"!

Keep the promises that you make to yourself!
