Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death. The question?...What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end. He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer. Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer. But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged. The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first. The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table. Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus: What a woman really wants, she answered....is to be in charge of her own life. Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was, the neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding. The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half. Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night? Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments? What would YOU do? What Lancelot chose is below. BUT....make YOUR choice before you read any further! OKAY? Made your choice? Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life Now....what is the moral to this story? The moral is..... If you don't let a woman have her own way.... Things are going to get ugly |

SHE SAID....THE SECRET TO A WOMAN REVEALED
When she pulls away, pull her back.
When she steals your favorite hoodie, let her wear it.
When she says she loves you, tell her you love her more than anything.
When she grabs at your hand, hold hers, look into her eyes and smile.
If she tells you a secret, listen with interest and keep it safe and unshared.
When she looks into your eyes, look back and don’t look away until she does.
When she’s angry, hold her tight and kiss her hair, don’t let go until she’s calm.
When she says she’s Ok or that nothing’s wrong, don’t believe it.
Call her at 12am on her birthday to say you love her and couldn’t wait to tell her.
Treat her like she’s all that matters to you.
Watch her favorite movie with her, even if you think it’s stupid, and don’t make comments or roll your eyes during the movie.
Don’t talk about other girls around her, and NEVER tell her how “hot” a girl passing by is.
Kiss her in the pouring rain. Kiss her in a falling snow. Kiss her in the middle of a crowd.
When she runs to you crying , cradle her like a child and ask “Whose ass am I kicking baby?”
Even if you’ve been together for 25 years, have her scoot next to you in the car or on the couch.
Gently play with her hair.
When she’s sick, with a sore red nose, her hair is a tangled mess and she’s in flannel pj’s and fuzzy slippers, tell her she’s beautiful.
When she's scared, hold her, protect her
.
When you see her walking, sneak up and hug her waist from behind.
When you see her walking, sneak up and hug her waist from behind.
When she's scared, hold her, protect her
Don’t let a day go by without letting her know in some way that she’s important to you and that you love her. Why? Because she’s a woman and every day she’s doubting herself.
Women are the most complex of all God’s creatures. No matter how confident, beautiful, talented and intelligent one may be, she still needs constant reassurance that she is loved and treasured by the man she loves. If she denies this, she’s lying!
Notice that NOTHING on this list cost money. That’s because “things” aren’t as important to a woman in love than reassurance that she is loved in return. Sure, women love little gifts and surprises, but believe me, expressions of love mean so much more!

She Said...
Dawn Boyle
In response to Tony's He Said this morning I can't disagree with you more. There is a new commercial out right now about some kind of feminine wash, the commercial goes something like, wars are waged over it, men die for it, countries are born over it....all the while they are talking about the power of "V". I think there is a clear difference between men and women. I believe that we think from different sides of the brain. I think that although we all (at some point) want sex, we want it in different ways. Yes, we talk trash in the bathroom or sitting around a table full of women, but the difference is, you guys DON'T want to hear that from women you are attracted to or trying to court. Right?
I think that once there is a level of comfort we might let out a burp or two by accident, but I know that my husband will look at me like I am a farm animal and get completely turned off. Here is the clue for you guys....we feel the same way about you getting all mushy during a movie. The boys want ladies and the girls want strong men to protect them. This is because of what we are trained to think we want from such an early age.
So society has made sure we are completely different. Seriously ladies do you want super sensitive guy?

HE SAID.... ARE WE DIFFERENT?
Absolutely, positively, definitely different! Is that really a question?! Thank God we are different. Isn't that part of what keeps life interesting. Okay-- with it, with difference, comes it's fair share of challenges too. Yet - too much the same is just overrated, BORING!
Instead of "different"... aren't we two halves that create balance. Like what day is to night and night is to day. Beautifully different, yet one cannot be appreciated without the other. This duality when correctly combined is what can stimulate peace and harmony. In the time of basic man and woman when the human race began, (and until more recent history,) - there was no questioning the duality or the roles. They just were - and they were accepted. For a very long time none thought one superior or more important, but, they were two parts that made a whole picture. There was an appreciation, perhaps non-spoken, of the mutually supportive roles of the man and the women. Together they created family and function within their corner of the world.
Perhaps modern "man" has messed this up by blurring all the lines. Somewhere along the line... two parts fitting together to make one complacent and balanced whole became a comparison and or competition of which role was more important or better. Did that create "feelings" of the dominate and the oppressed? Did that awareness of roles being lesser or more - separate rather then build? Did that create a difficulty for smooth role reversal in situations where it should and could work? Did it force the stereotyping that Tony points out -- isn't as black and white, or day and night as it seems to be? Isn't there more accord when the pieces fit rather then fight for attention?
Yes, Tony, I believe we are "wired" differently... yet I will agree there are similarities. We all have our soft and hard side and attributes. So whether talking one person, one pair, or one race, we need those differences and we need to value the sameness that can also be found. Having a touch, or brush of the opposite whets your appetite for more of that - that is what helps the different pieces fit.
We need to get past the comparisons and instead value that one does not exist in all it's brilliance without the other. How can you compare the day and the night? They are each astonishingly different, amazingly beautiful in their own right, yet if it wasn't for the darkness would we appreciate the light? It is better not to scorn the differences but to be empowered by them. To allow them to help bring out the best in you, using our differences to make ourselves the best sum of our parts, as a person, a pair or a race. To complement and balance the human equation and make it whole. Make us whole in that way that we aren't whole alone.
