FIFTY SHADES AND FIFTY LOADS OF LAUNDRY....
Dawn Boyle
I have been absent lately. I have let my laundry pile up. I have completely ignored the phone ringing and I am pretty sure my husband is convinced I am having an affair...
A few months ago, one of my "besties" called me on a Friday night. It was late. I picked up the phone and she stated "Read Fifty Shades and have Greg thank me when you're done." I questioned what she was talking about she repeated herself and hung up.
I raced up stairs to confines of my bedroom, opened up the laptop and googled the title. I read a few reviews and shut down the computer. I am not really a big reader, I am certainly not into some of the things they were saying in the review, and I really could careless about getting all involved with this book.
About a week or two after that phone call I was out for a Girls Night Out hosted by a friend. The book came up again, I told them about the call I received from our friend (who blew us off that night) and how she was so sure about me reading this book. There were a few chuckles about it being racy, there was a comment about not needing a book and that all was fine in their bedroom, and then there was the one comment that kept on coming back to me. It was the original comment about it making my husband thank my pal.....I went home and ordered the first book.
I am not going to go into details and will certainly not be a spoiler, but, I finished the first book, then I finished all three. I have fallen in love with Grey. I want to be Steele. I am still not into all the kink, but would do just about anything Grey wanted if he was going to give me that life...money never being a worry, someone who's sole concern was my welfare, endless gifts and a staff to take care of everything?!?!?! - SIGN ME UP!
So the laundry will now get back on track...my house will once again be tidy, all because my affair with Christian Grey is sadly over. Bittersweetly I bite my lip while holding back the tears that swell in my hazel eyes.....as I eagerly await the movie...we plan on renting a theater out and sipping champagne while we submerge ourselves in the perfect fantasy of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY.....til then - Laters, baby.

DAWNS ASH WEDNESDAY....sorta kinda
Dawn Boyle
So, today is Ash Wednesday....I will go get ashes and attempt to give something up for 40 days. I will also try with everything inside of me to remember no meat on Fridays.
The idea of giving something up that you really like or a habit that you wish to stop is the norm. My kids giving up candy, talking back or actually cleaning up their rooms is the route they take each year and very similar to their mother, they fail.
A few friends have decided that 40 days off Facebook was the way to go, and I wish them all the luck in the world (but hope they don't forget to stop by Delayed Reaction Lounge) or to stop watching the incessant reality shows, which I love and would never even toy with the idea of making it 40 days without those knuckleheads down at the Shore, ALL my housewives (including those with Mob connections) or my newest addiction ~ Revenge.
AND....just about EVERYONE in the land will attempt to get back on the diet/exercise bandwagon for the 10th time since New Years.
This year I have decided to do all of the above, without doing them at all. I am going to give up putting unnecessary pressure on myself. I will attempt to give myself a little room to breath and not be so hard on myself. I am pretty sure that this will be the hardest of all the things I have ever tried to give up in the 41 Lents I have under my belt.
I wish you all luck in whatever you plan on sacrificing over the next 40 days (excluding Sunday - FYI) and would love to hear what you're planning on giving up in our comments below! Maybe something you say you are doing will inspire someone else - maybe even me!

LET'S CELEBRATE!!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
DELAYED REACTION LOUNGE!
Barbara Ward- Finneran
WHOA BABY!!!!!
It's been a year... a wonderful, wicked and wild year!
It doesn't seem possible that it's over a year ago that Dawn and I decided to fly solo, well actually duo, and then build our DRL family. There's quite a bit of a long and tangled back story there that has never really been shared here at DRL about how Dawn & I "met" and DRL's conception. (Note to self... Blog about that!) In the nutshell version Dawn and I decided in late fall of 2010 that we wanted to blog together and in time invite others to blog along with us as "regulars" or "guests". Both of us having a bizillion other commitments we decided it was would be wise to put launching off to after the holidays. We set a target launch date of February 14th - a great day for the "new baby" that we would love to be born.
Amidst the chaos of the Christmas holidays and into January we brainstormed and planned a bit. Flung emails through cyberspace, jotted notes all over the place, and had quite a few marathon phone calls to plan for the birth. By late January we wondered if our target date could be a reality. I was lost in the design of it all. Desperately trying to find balance between the designer and writer within me. In fact, on Thursday, February the 10th, I called Dawn and pretty much told her, "No way. I can't get this designed in time". I hung up with her reeling and disappointed. Madder the HELL that I "couldn't" do it. Madder then HELL, that I couldn't "Keep the promises that you make to yourself"(I made to myself). Design experience I had plenty of... Website design, not so much. I had drown myself in delusions of grandeur --- figuring out how to design it all. HA! That was funny and not in the ha ha kind of way.
What's a designer to do??? Call your best friend from art school, that's what you do! Late as it was I rang Laura. She talked me off the ledge. And, let me tell you, I was looking and equipped to jump. Like so many times before, Laura helped me find a way to "design it". There's nothing better then a savvy BFF, who knows your strengths and weaknesses to boot you in the butt and get you to pick yourself up by your stiletto straps--- in design, blogging, and, or life! Shortly into the conversation she made it so apparent that I was working to reinvent the wheel. DUH! How did I not see it? That despite my skills, abilities, and desires... I couldn't do it all. Laura and I talked long into the night discussed tools and templates that would allow some design control and yet not become another ball and chain. I was sold and determined to make that launch date a reality.
Friday morning was just the first of many moments of making Dawn's head spin. (It's fun sometimes! HA! LOVE YOU DAWN!) The conversation went something like this:
"Remember that I told you it was off?"
"Yes."
"Well, forget everything I said last night! It's on!!! Come hell or high water, we will launch on Monday. It'll be a 'work in progress', but we will launch! WE WILL KEEP THE PROMISES THAT WE MAKE TO OURSELVES!"
"@#%& YEAH!"
"Agreed! @#%& YEAH!"
Not much sleep ensued among the next few days of "blood, sweat, and tears" that followed. Our baby would be born via a surrogate and her name was "blogger".
Now really, in order to be true to life (especially our crazy lives) --- what would DRL's birth have been without a delayed reaction of some sort! ;)
The weekend was wild and wicked. I poured myself into Blogger & Adobe Illustrator. Fielded phone calls and texts that enwrapped me with encouragement (Thank you all - you know who you are!) and plowed through the unknown to make it familiar. Pulling Dawn right along in all the "fun" as she also tended to all the other details. Picture two hamsters (adorable & feisty, lol) stuck in a wheel and going for broke, carrot dangling! Sunday the 13th was a whirlwind of trying to be ready to launch at midnight. Last minute finesses and preparing the posts, contacting the other writers, getting every little thing in order. We were exhausted and bringing it right down to the wire. Yet, knowing it would happen. Happen on time, like we planned, like we promised!
By 10:30 that night we were really ready. Still not sure how the heck that happened but we were as ready as we'd ever be, read to rock!
Tick Tock went the clock........
Later still on the phone and not being able to get the timer to work on posts, we decided we'd post it just after midnight. (Yes, the phrase "Blogger Flog-ker" was born that night too! I should have a dime for every time we've said it since - HA!)
Tick Tock went the clock........
Still on the phone. Still exhausted. Practically dozing while talking. We gave up! Obviously not on the blog. We gave up and gave in. We put the first post up before midnight and went to bed! Fatigued, frazzled and flying high!
That is how DRL was born and how "our baby" came a day early.
WHOA BABY!!!!!
It's been a year... a wonderful, wicked and wild year!
Wow! All very amusing to think back on in retrospect. Like many things, not so funny at the time. All memories that I am very thankful for having and hold in my heart. We've done a lot since that sleep deprived weekend. We have had over 1, 500 posts read in over 105 countries! We broke our initial goal of 100,000 posts long, long ago. We have had stories and posts that make you laugh, cry, feel creepy, get excited, think and comment. (We'd welcome more comments BTW!) Not bad for the little blog that could. DRL would not have been born with out the love, support and encouragement and of our family and friends (you know who you are!) Let me not fail to mention the endless writing inspiration and material that you have all helped to provide. We thank you & hope you forgive us too - LOL. DRL would not have grown into a family without the dedication of our regular writers. Marion, and our funny man, Tony, of Drop Dead Comedy, have gone above and beyond and always have entertaining posts to share every week since day one. A fact I can't even boast! Way to go "guys'! Jillian B. Hart and Patty B have been regulars along our journey who have also been well read and embraced. Jill's Heart's Desire has been know to spark a fire! Patty's Sticky Sweets are enough to make you crave more. (We miss your posts! I know how life gets in the way --- but get to writing, and I will too!) Jenn, Gary O, Robert, Michael, Natalie, Bridgette, Michele, Jessica Lemoine McGinnis Yee, and "The Good Girl" (You all come back now - real soon! Again, we miss your posts!) have contributed and been enjoyed. (Geez, I hope I got everybody!) The stories and beautiful inspiration from the women of Michael D Colareno's Breast Cancer Awareness Body Painting Project (BCABPP) and his beautiful artwork, who were featured in "Pink Reaction" inspired us to tears. Many thanks to Doris, Ellen & Pamela --- May the courage and strength that you shared come back to you tenfold! We have successfully cross promoted and have had so much fun with Deanna and The Unnatural Mother. "Behind the scenes" support and reassurance from our favorite IT friends, Laura, Gary & Jay. The endless questions and laughs with us and at us have been priceless. Hey... we aim to entertain! :) We wouldn't be still doing this a year later without all of YOU!!! Dawn & I thank you all from the bottom of hearts and from those places that dreams are made of... and we love you!
None of it would still be going on 365 days later without all of YOU!!!
Without our readers! Dawn & I thank you all from the bottom of hearts and from those places that dreams are born!!! Because of all of you DRL was born and better yet - has had a birthday.
We love our readers and hope you'll keep coming back for more!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU EVERYONE!
It's still a work in progress. Oh the places we can go! I know I am looking forward to years ahead! (Looking forward to finding more time to write again - but, again... that's another blog!)
Stay tuned this week for more memories & re-runs of the best of the best of our first year.
Love, Peace & Prayers... Always,
Barbara

FACEBOOK FLAMES & FRAUDS
Dawn Boyle Tony wrote last week about the Facebook Flame and the destruction is does to families....today I want to put a different spin on the harms of Facebook flirting.....
I have two friends who are happily married. They have wonderful children and awesome jobs. They do charity work and help out at the school their children attend whenever asked. From the outside these two have it all together. You can walk into their house unannounced and it looks like they're ready for a party of 15 to arrive.....so not me! Anyway, I talk to these two women often, at least 3-4 times a week. We talk about money, our children and husbands that don't listen to us and how much our mortgage payments and taxes are making us broke. We make plans for drinks and play dates, we get together with our husbands a few times a year as well....here is the difference, they are both broken hearted over someone from Facebook.
My one girlfriend has been carrying on with this one guy from high school since day 1 of Facebook. They haven't seen each other, but speak to each other online and on the phone a few times a day. They say I love you before the end of each conversation and basically she has told me that the only thing that gets her through each day is talking to him.....isn't that cheating??
The other friend is a little bit different. She is actually having a nervous breakdown because her Facebook flame (again - has never seen him) basically broke up with her....how does that happen? I avoid her calls now. I don't want to hear about how he hasn't returned her inbox messages, that he blocked her and how she is now considering telling his wife.....seriously? How can you be in love with someone that you never saw? Never actually had real life interaction with?
How is it that two smart women would get themselves involved with school-girl crushes?? Why is this one acting like Glenn Close from Basic Instinct?
Are they really willing to end it all and walk away from their families, awesome jobs, and seemingly having their acts together, for some random guy from high school they haven't seen in about 25 years? What could possibly be better then the lives they have?
Which brings me to my next topic....THE FACEBOOK FRAUD!
We all know them, their bullshit is smelt in every fabricated post. They lie about job positions, or accomplishments in their info. They post pictures so enticing that even the shrudest person could fall victim. These guys wisk you off in a moments notice to vacations, praying on divorced women who have children, or ones with low self-esteem. They fill their heads up with non-sence of white picket fences and happily ever-after or some other get rich quick scheme.
The truth is these guys are the biggest cons! The come in sweep you off your feet and then you turn around and they have stolen money from you and have left you with a broken heart or scratching your head....LADIES BEWARE, they are on each one of our friends lists, waiting to pounce if given the opportunity!
Go with your gut, and remember the old saying....if it seems to good to be true....IT IS!!

FOOTBALL 101
Dawn Boyle
Everyone around me is getting all geared up for the upcoming Sunday. Invitations are being thrown around, plans are being made. Boxes being bought and attire is purchased. New songs are all over the place for each team.
I realized something...I have no idea what the point of football is...or maybe I should say, I have no understanding of the game. I have watched football, cheered for football, and even bar tended for football games, but still have no idea what the point is. I asked a close friend who is a football fanatic to explain to to me figuring maybe if I understood what was going on in the game I might be able to stick to my 1,000 calorie intake during the food and drinking fest that the Super Bowl has always been for me. Below is a part of an email I received...I hope you are able to understand it. I think I actually get it now!!!
Football is played on a field which is 100 yards from goal to goal. Each game starts with a coin toss which is one thing that does not happen in any other sport and this determines which team will get the ball first and which side the other team wishes to defend against for the first and fourth quarter or the second and third quarter. The very first thing that happens in a game is called a kickoff, which is when one team kicks the ball across the field to the other team. The other team tries to run into the other teams end zone and score. They have 4 chances to move the ball ten yards at a time. They can do this by throwing the ball or by running it. If the team doesn't get to a place they feel comfortable after three downs they can do one of three things, either go for the yards to make the ten, punt the ball which is kick the ball to the other team, or go for a field goal which is kicking the ball between the yellow posts which are located at the end of the end zone.
The point system is;
when they score a touchdown, which means run into the other teams end zone with the ball they score 6 points.
After the touchdown they can either kick for a point or do another play to get into the end zone for two points.
Another way to score is called a safety. This is when you tackle the other team when they are still inside their end zone, this will give the team that makes the tackle 2 points.
There are obstacles to get to the end zone. The receivers are being covered by defenders and you block for everything. The other teams goal is to not allow you to get any points so they will try their best to knock down passes and tackle against the run so no yardage is gained. Also to make things harder, there are penalties such as offsides, which means that the defensive team went before the ball was snapped and this gives the offensive team 5 yards. On the same lines there is a false start which means that a player on the offensive side of the ball went before the ball was snapped to the quarterback and that team will loose 5 yards. There are other penalties such as holding, face mask (grabbing or tackling by a players face mask), personal fouls, roughing the kicker, roughing the passer, chop in the back, illegal formations, halo rule (being within 2 yards of the kick returner before he catches the ball)
There are three time outs given to each team for each half of the game, there are also two challenges given to each team, but they can only be used as long as the challenging team has a time out to use. The challenge means they are not agreeing with the referee's call on the field and want the ruling overturned.

SHE SAID......I HAVE BEEN INFECTED
Dawn Boyle
As per Wikipedia.....
The common cold (also known as nasopharyngitis, rhinopharyngitis, acute coryza, or a cold) is a viral infectious disease of the upper respiratory system which affects primarily the nose. Symptoms include a cough, sore throat, runny nose, and fever which usually resolve in seven to ten days, with some symptoms lasting up to three weeks. Well over 200 viruses are implicated in the cause of the common cold; the rhinoviruses are the most common.
I am forty one years old. I have delivered two children. I have survived a few surgeries...but yet I have been crippled for what could be the 360th time I have had....a cold.
KNOCKED UPSIDE THE HEAD!
This past Friday night, my area was in the midsts of a severe windstorm..okay, it was not a "named" storm, but it did manage to pull two of my FOREVER doors and interior doors off their jambs and twist them like pretzels. Limbs were down, rumor of a possible tree around the block, per the rumor mill in my house aka, my kids. My backyard patio furniture was scattered around like it was intentionally thrown in every direction. Wait rewind....why in the middle of January is the furniture still out? Wasn't it put away for Hurricane Irene??? I will have to get to the bottom of that with my husband....I mean, I have been told that I am in charge of keeping up the inside of the house because he tends to the outside...I guess it must be stressful writing out that check to Leo's Landscaping...hmmm. Anyway back to my story. As I attempted to secure the full glass doors that were slamming against the sides of my house I felt it...

WANNA LAUGH?!?!
Tony Walker
The other day Boyle was driving down Sunrise Highway with 10 penguins in her back seat.
A cop pulled her over.
"Lady, you can't have these penguins in your car! Get them to a zoo!"
"Yes Officer. Right away."
The cop liked Boyle's cleavage so he let her go without a ticket.
But the next day the cop saw Boyle driving on Merrick Road with the same penguins!
He pulls her over.
"What did I tell you yesterday? I thought you were taking these penguins to the zoo!"
"I did! Today we're going to the movies!"

SHE SAID....RESOLVE
Dawn Boyle
Welcome to TWENTY-TWELVE....a new beginning, a fresh start, a page completely blank for you to paint what you want for your future. This is the time that I take to re-evaluate all aspects of my life. I have begun to reflect on the past year and really examine where I went right and where I went wrong.
For the first time I am not going to beat myself up over all the shortcomings of the past year, but actually revel in my accomplishments. To really take a long look at what my goals for the future are, only this year I am not looking at immediate gratification, but true long-term achievable goals.

THE BEST GIFT
Dawn Boyle
Tis the Season....
What a bunch of crap that is! Why is it that we have lost sight of the real reason we celebrate December 25? With only days away from the Big Guy coming down the chimney, why is it so difficult? Why am I not in the holiday spirit? Why can't I find my lists??
Every year I say the same thing, every year I fail. Is it because the only snow we have had so far was back on Halloween weekend? Could it be because I am still rocking flip-flops the end of December? I am not sure.
I don't know how my parents kept it together all those years. I never saw them sweat around this time of year. I only remember the excitement of decorating the tree, running from house party to house party with them and singing Christmas carols at the top of our lungs.....what is wrong with me?
Everything is a rush, my house is a mess. I am not even close to being done and seriously...where are my lists?? I plan on kicking it into gear. I vow to finish EVERYTHING by Thursday so I can enjoy my family and host a truly fabulous Christmas Eve. I need to do this for my kids cause all they have seen is me sweating the past few weeks and I feel like a failure. More important than that Ipads or Uggs will be the time spent, that's what they will remember - not the gifts!
I am putting the pedal to the metal! The house will be clean, the food will be ready to go for Saturday, the gifts will be purchased and wrapped and I will spend Thursday and Friday actually enjoying the best gift of all....my children and my husband.

SURVIVING THE HOLI-HATES!
Dawn Boyle
We are days away from either enjoying ourselves and our families OR suffering through yet another year of WTF?
Here are a few simple suggestions that should you through the days ahead!
1. If you think you didn't buy enough, you did. Go take a look in the closet and see exactly how much the kids haven't even opened from last year! If you still have a certain person that you just can't figure out what to get, bring them to or make them a special dinner or take them to a show. I bet you have no idea what you got or gave for Christmas, but will remember time spent with special people.
2. Stop being jealous of your siblings...some have more money or a bigger house or was you parents favorite, but get over it! Stop dwelling on things that you can not change! The only way to enjoy yourself will be to let it go and remember YOU ARE FAMILY!!
3. Remember why we are celebrating. The reason for the season. It might not be about the birth of Christ for you, but it is about joy and peace. Find a moment to reflect on all the positive things in your life and encourage your kids to do so as well, it will brighten up the darkest day.
4. If you want to kill your mother-in-law throughout the year, this is usually magnified during the holidays. Give her a break. Remember that without her, you wouldn't have your significant other (good or bad). Let things roll off your back. It will be January 2 in no time and will be months before you have to deal with her again!
5. Don't let the holiday cheer get the best of you! Aside from the fact that you are probably already run down, the booze will only intensify those "liquid" feelings! Keep the consumption to a minimum and actually enjoy the day after!
6. Last but not least, surround yourself with your older relatives. You don't realize how much of a blessing they are until it is too late. Listen to stories, bring out old photo albums or videos. Remember those who you lost but appreciate those you still have!

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR???
Dawn Boyle
Over the past few weeks I have posted things about Thanksgiving and the holidays. I have also wrote about my constant bitching, and my issues I have with my kids, husband, and ass.
I have wrote about a Thankful Tree that you can make for your home so your kids can write each day about what they are thankful for. I have shared recipes and also spoke about my disdain for bullying and the apparent demise of our youth through the Internet.
After all is said and done, I wanted to share what I am thankful for and excited about for the holiday season and the upcoming year....Sometimes I come across as a jokester, not here - not now. I am going to be as serious as possible (for those who think I am funny).
In the past 12 months I turned 40. I gained back way too much of the weight I lost. I have gotten more and more in debt. I have done only one improvement to my home - a new roof, and that was a necessity, not luxury. I still can't stand my dog, who is turning 4 this month and is still peeing and crapping in the house after being out for 20 minutes. My love life needs a tune up and my kids need a tune down. I still have someone sleeping in my bed and have two cell-phones for two kids that do not use them. I installed a motherboard in my daughters computer months ago but not the battery. My closets are a mess, every room needs to be painted and I despise the 70's wrought iron railing that EVERYONE sees when they walk into my house.

THE X FACTOR - DAWN BOYLE
For a few weeks now I have been tuning in to watch this American Idol spin-off. First I want to let you all know, I hate American Idol. My husband has religiously watched since season 1. I really never got into it. So what's the difference between the two? Why am I loving X so much?
Some of the differences I have noticed is that there is no age limit at X. I like that. I really enjoy the stories of the people who are my age and still chasing their dream...and for that 5 million dollar recording contract I am considering getting voice lessons and trying out next season. The mentoring I originally thought would bug the hell out of me, but it's hasn't. The way they put people together for the groups division is also pretty cool. Those girls (forget their name, think is has something to do with rain) are really awesome!
Seems like Simon is taking happy pills and Paula maybe has stopped taking whatever she was on during her stint on Idol. Nicole (Pussycat Doll) is not too annoying and LA Reid is totally bad ass. I think he might be the most cool dude in America. I bet he is fun to hang out with.

I AM NOT READY DAWN BOYLE
I am totally not ready!!
The Metro Sexual Meteorologists said something insane this morning, possible flurries north and west for the weekend? What happened to Indian Summer? I still have my flip flops on. I haven't emptied out the beach bags yet! I literally do not know how to attempt a closet purge to find closed toe shoes, let alone boots!
Soooo not ready, I saw my first holiday commercial a few days ago and noticed all the artificial trees that now illuminate the pool stores throughout my town.
It's inevitable, as I age - time is flying. There are only 57 days til Christmas! Holy crap that just really put a different spin on this! I need to get my act together! Today on my day off I am going to empty those beach bags. redo my closet and make the appointment for the girls picture for holiday cards. The crunch is here and it's time for me at 40 years old to be organized!
The lazy days of summer are gone, the boat is pulled and there is no way I will go through another year of insanity and running around two days before Christmas with less than half of a list to complete.
The silver lining to this dark (and possibly snowy cloud) is that sooner or later MVP will return to the Jersey Shore. The RHONJ are already filming season 4. I am loving the new show Revenge, Those Mob Wives gotta be rearing their crazy heads again soon and I already have plans for New Years Eve!!!
The Spring/Summer will be here soon enough!

DAWN BOYLE....FISHNETS STICKING TO NAIL POLISH
Dawn Boyle
This past Wednesday I had an hour free and decided to go to a "SHE-SHE" nail spa near my house. I have been there a few times before. In fact, last year I got a rather large gift certificate from friends. I figured since it's coming up on the year mark I better use it up.
When you walk in there is a receptionist who asks what services you are there for. I requested a manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax. I was ushered to the color station where I chose the polish for my nails, a very handsome (what would be the equivalent of a Asian Justin Beiber) took my pocketbook and cell phone and escorted me to a pedestal for my pedicure and handed me a menu. I looked directly into his eyes and said "I only want a regular pedicure and a French manicure". He nodded and proceeded to begin on my toes.
About 5 minutes into the treatment Ryan tells me that he is using a special brush on my heels to eliminate dry skin. I laid back and enjoyed being pampered. Once I was done I was taken over to the manicure area. I was introduced to Suki who did a wonderful job on my nails. She asked if I would like a massage, I replied no and was heading for the wax room.
Upon completion I returned to the drying station. A woman came over to me and started rubbing my shoulders. I was probably the most relaxed that I have been in a long time....that is until I was checking out. I was handed a bill for $67.00. See every little extra thing they did to me was a charge...when I looked at the menu I registered $13.00 for a French Manicure, $10.00 for a regular pedicure and $7.00 for an eyebrow wax. Something wasn't right. My calculations would be less than half of the bill sitting there before me. I asked the receptionists why it was so much more than I expected...she replied that the special callus brush was an additional 10.00. That the massage was an additional $10.00 and that they used a citrus something or other on my hands for age spots that was an additional $17.00. My jaw hit the floor. I couldn't believe how I was bamboozled by this place. I shook my head and handing my gift certificate to the woman. I was steaming mad at myself for tipping out after each service was completed as high as I did.
In the end I learned a lesson...AGAIN - NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE! Heading back to my normal mani/pedi place...they don't have any bells or whistles, but they certainly don't try to screw me either. I know that what I paid at the Super Spa I could have had mine and the girls nails and toes done. LIVE AND LEARN...OVER AND OVER AGAIN! OH AND I DON'T HAVE AGE SPOTS!

I had the luxury of spending the weekend with my family. I have two brothers, they are married and they both have children. I have a mother and father that are still together. Everyone in my family is healthy. But the strangest part of my family is that we all get along. There has never been a major fight between any of us. We genuinely enjoy being around each other. We all dance and party like there is no tomorrow.

She Said...
Dawn Boyle
In response to Tony's He Said this morning I can't disagree with you more. There is a new commercial out right now about some kind of feminine wash, the commercial goes something like, wars are waged over it, men die for it, countries are born over it....all the while they are talking about the power of "V". I think there is a clear difference between men and women. I believe that we think from different sides of the brain. I think that although we all (at some point) want sex, we want it in different ways. Yes, we talk trash in the bathroom or sitting around a table full of women, but the difference is, you guys DON'T want to hear that from women you are attracted to or trying to court. Right?
I think that once there is a level of comfort we might let out a burp or two by accident, but I know that my husband will look at me like I am a farm animal and get completely turned off. Here is the clue for you guys....we feel the same way about you getting all mushy during a movie. The boys want ladies and the girls want strong men to protect them. This is because of what we are trained to think we want from such an early age.
So society has made sure we are completely different. Seriously ladies do you want super sensitive guy?
