KISS ME I'M IRISH - PART II

KISS ME I'M IRISH - Mar Chuid Dá (Part II)

Jillian B. Hart

She found herself very melancholy and couldn't even explain why if she had been asked.  Rather then give into the blues she fashioned on a casual emerald green dress and zipped up the knee length, spiked, black boots. Slipped into a leather jacket and headed out the door.  People watching always lifted her spirits and gave her inspiration to write.  What better night to gather in the sights.

She sat at the bar, taking in the blur of faces on the dance floor. The festive holiday sounds emanated through the room mixed with dance tunes.  Shiny plastic four leaf clovers and green beads dangled from necks and bounced across chests in erratic and off beat motions. Choirs of "Slainte" replaced the usual shouts of cheers followed by the clinks of beer mugs.  Green beer overflowed, yet, not her drink of preference so she had ordered Bailey's straight up.  Every one was Irish today.  Yet her Irish eyes were far from smiling.  Although she had never fancied this Irish pub in the city, perhaps this wasn't the right pub to observe the happy crowds, as something about the place reminded her of times gone by.

A finely manicured hand wrapped the glass.  She sip the creamy drink and felt it flood her with warmth. The sensation of the alcohol filling her up with a light headiness. She was so lost in thought as she took in the deluge of dancers and drinkers, that she hadn't noticed him.

He did a double take when he saw her. He had missed everything about her.  How many times had he seen her brown eyes when he closed his, remembering that night he never told her.  The night he let her say goodbye and walk out of a bar, and in essence walk out of his life. He didn't tell her.  Never told her what he should of said.  He just held it in. How were you supposed to ask someone to stay when you couldn't make any promises?  How do you ask that of a friend?  Even a friend that you loved with more passion then you were willing to admit to at the time.  That was night before she left to relocate across the country. It all flooded back, like it was days ago rather then over a decade into the past.

His heartbeat quickened.  As he took in the view across the bar.  Tendrils of hair framed her face and the bodice of her dress dipping to reveal the curves of cleavage and hug her frame.  His gaze danced over her taking in every inch that he could see, as his mind rushed to decide what action to take next.  Desire twisted inside him making his mind fill with all kinds of wickedly wild images.  A hotness flooded his groin and the blue jeans grew painfully tighter.  He started towards her, watching her perched elegantly on a stool with sparkling eyes darting around the room.
He tapped her shoulder and she turned to face him while brushing the curls from her face.  Astonishment initially flashed across her face, follow by recognition and anxious anticipation.  She held his gaze letting out a sexy breath as she began to speak.  He watched her pulse quicken at the base of her throat as he leaned in to take possession of her mouth before she could utter a word.  She went absolutely still for an instant before closing her eyes and melting into the moment.  Her lips parted more - as strong, gentle hands caressed her face.  The touch so familiar in her memory that she went breathless as she tasted the sweetness of his kiss in her mouth.  It inflamed a warmth in her that peaked between her crossed legs.  With his lips over hers, he gently sucked small dotting pecks across her maroon painted lips until their mouths instinctively opened up.  Tongues now danced in slow circular motions as he ran his fingers through her hair. Her body betraying her will to remain collected. Shivers electrified her and every emotion was released as she moaned. She was so responsive as their tongues tangled, that he thought he'd explode if he dared to imagine how she'd be when he got her alone.  His blood pulsed so fast it echoed in his ears, as goosebumps danced over her flesh awaking every erogenous zone in each of them.  Sparking a pool of moisture at the pinnacle where her thighs met. He pulled her closer and she slid off the stool pressing their bodies together.  Her scent closed over him like the first pure snow white washes a landscape. The intensity growing until she eased away and gently broke the embrace.  The sound of the crowd sobering them back to their senses.  Leaning back on his heals he gazed into her eyes waiting for feedback or retort. Long lashes curtaining the feelings smoldering in the depths of her expressive eyes. The seemingly long pause made him toy with apologizing for ravishing her in public.  But, he couldn't articulate the words, as he was only sorry that he couldn't finish what he started.  She drew a deep steady breath before she spoke.  Her voice low and sexy, a melody he'd never forgotten, sexual sparks hanging in the air, "Where have you been hiding? I've missed you..."

Her Irish eyes smiling brightly as a mischievous grin flashed across her glossy lips. She grabbed his hand and said, "Let's get out of here".
Happy Post St. Patrick's Day!

Kissing is one of the most sensual and sexy ways too express your passion for your partner.  So many ways to get erotic with your lover but most often the starting point is a kiss.  A lingering embrace of lips that leaves your mate longing for more and daydreaming about you long after the moment is gone.

In the chaos of life it is all too easy to forget the power of the kiss.  All to easy to fall into the "smooch" and or "smack' syndrome. The quick peck that has become habit and essentially is so over used that it means nothing. This cordial interaction certainly doesn't raise a pulse.  Day in and day out, reality gets in the way and these kisses have their place but to keep sparks from fizzling a couple must define time to include romantic passionate kisses in their daily love diet.  These encounters need not be saved for "bedroom time" but should rather be used often as prelude to escapades yet to come.  What is more exciting then anticipation?  You want your lover to desire you,  then it is necessary to lay one on them that leaves them longing for more.  Sexy kissing is all about a moment that makes your partner crazy for you.  Kissing must not just be a road map to sex but rather an appreciated act of pleasure unto itself.

Take the time to add a sexy kiss into your day.  If you have been dwelling in smooch-ville you may need to start slowly or risk the "what got into you suspicion".  But start.  As this might just be your ticket to "do it again in like, 72 hours or less".  At least one of your hands must touch your partner.  Don't stress about this or make it complicated.  Put your hand in their hair. Caress the cheek. Lift and hold the chin. Rub the arm. Wrap the waist. Pull them closer a hug.  Just initiate a simple yet intimate connection.  Follow up with kiss.  Not smooch or smack.  Lips must linger together for at least 10 seconds. Or be a series of tiny butterfly pecks that elapse over the same length of time. Sound easy?  Count slowly in your head to ten the next time you kiss. It's longer then you think! Once you master ten - go longer!

Want more sex?  (Doesn't it always come down to that for some?!)  More intimacy for the others? I challenge you to incorporate three ten second kisses into your day on a daily basis for a week.  See what awakens in you and your lover.  See if more sex develops.  See if she's happy about it.  We all know he will be.  Sex makes men happy.  Let's see where the kisses get you.....

So in honor of this day - where everyone is Irish!  Celebrate the whole "Kiss Me I'm Irish" and unleash your inner sexy kissing leprechaun!  Kiss your lover!!! Beats the hell out of kissing the blarney stone!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
XOXOXO

WALK ME TO THE MOON

Jillian B. Hart
Walk me to the moon
To the place
Where all that we once imagined might be
That place that dreams could touch
Above and beyond the light
Untouchable triumph and majesty
Banishing darkness in a sea of stars
In what was once our field of dreams

Walk me to the moon
To that place I still dare to remember
Young love...
Faithful, constant, bright & foolish...
Believing you never run out of time.
The willingness to give
Without getting in return
Without needing.
Knowing you are enough.

Walk me to the moon
To that place I think of
With a haunted flutter in my heart
when memories swim in my eyes and escape down my cheeks
Bathed in a light once so pure
That it blinded us

Walk me to the moon
That place daydreams are made of
Lift me on the summer breeze
And angel wings
To that place that cannot be
But forever is

Walk me to the moon
That place in your heart
With the warm glow
It cannot be hidden
Like the full moon's light
It'll always be...
Whenever you need it
Feel the warmth - that's where I'll be
Wrapped around you embraced by our memory

Walk me to the moon
That place where I see the reflection
Of smiling eyes...
Brighter then sunshine
Where healing goes on and life survives
Banishing darkness in a sea of wishes, in that endless sea of stars
Loving your life doesn't mean that you forget having been blinded too

Walk me to the moon
That place where Memories...
Always paint a picture in the sky
Every detail changes
Yet the love remains the same
Love and light are eternal
Flood me with warmth
that forever dances in my dreams
brilliant as moonbeams at ebony's darkest edge

MEMBERSHIP NOT DESIRED

BARBARA WARD-FINNERAN
For Marie, Kathi, Jay, & Patty...
and all those who are missing someone in heaven today...
especially those I know and love!
If you know someone who has lost a loved one - recently or years back.  Tell them that you imagine that this day of Thanksgiving and celebration is also bittersweet.  Tell them that you remember that they have lost a great love and that you are sorry that with the joys of the holidays comes pain.

We've all known of clubs or cliques that we'd have liked to belong to long ago for an assortment of reasons.  That feeling of wanting to belong is human nature.  Somehow when you are part of "the crowd" you have arrived.  You are relevant.

In midlife do we still need to belong?  Do we desire a certain affiliation? What about when membership is not desired?

This post has been heavy on my heart, playing through my mind and begging to be written for weeks. In recent months four dear friends have said their goodbyes and buried a parent.  These friends have joined the club.  The "Dead Parent Club".  You can't be in it, until you are in it.  You might do your best to try and understand what it's like to lose someone so much a part of you that they literally gave you life.  To sympathize.  To understand.  But you can't and you don't, until you do.  Circumstances of the how and the why of your parent's departure from our world vary like the grains of sand on an endless beach.  Yet once you have lost a parent.  Or had another great loss that only one who has had similar loss can understand you are part of the club.  You are bound together by the understanding that in a moment your life is never the same.  There is no escape.  You've acquired a lifetime membership to grief.  You can't brace yourself for it - because even if you know it's coming.  It's still a "sudden impact", and suddenly the life you knew before is over - forever.   When someone you love dies, their journey to heaven brings such hell on earth.  Their beautiful transition into eternal life - doesn't ease our human pain. We hurt for what our life is without them, not for not having the faith that they are with our Lord.  It is only that which has given you the greatest joys in your life that can also give you the most tragic sorrows.  I don't know that anyone fathoms the depth of love and abyss of grief until that hour of separation. Even when it's expected... the transition of the parent or person you love being gone from our earthly midst is unfathomable.

In the first days of loss, your throat so tight at times that it feels like you gargled glass.  Trying to get air into your lungs can feel like trying to breathe underwater.  That void so big that it's more enormous then anything you've ever imagined.  Memories run down your cheeks... tears that can't wash away the pain - that speak the words you can't find, because there aren't any to describe how much you hurt.  Initially grief is so much bigger then you are and with time you gain days where you are bigger then it.

Grief is a constant.  Once you've danced with this devil you are stuck with it for life. It's a life sentence.  Although it ebbs and flows.  It builds itself around you.  It doesn't matter how long it's been.  The walls stand firm sometimes and at others they tumble down and the silence is broken by the sound of your tears.  It can be noise that you can't get out of your head or beautiful background music in your mind when you allow yourself to think, feel, and remember.

Skimming facebook this evening between cooking and baking I saw so many posts from members of "the club".  Those that are missing loved ones.  At the holidays we are all too aware of the absence.  If it's a recent one, or years gone by, the fact is, the absence is the same.  Does it really get better with time or do we just bury it deeper?  You never really stop feeling the loss.  Never get over it, but get to a place where you are no longer constantly and acutely aware of the heartache.   Yet that grief monster can rear it's ugly head at the holidays in a way that makes it feel new and raw again.  Sometimes causing you to lose the strength and ground you've gained.  When you don't think you've got the strength to go on... the strength finds you. Sometimes it comes from within and sometime it comes from those we love.  Often it comes from those who remember. Or from members of "the club". Those who aren't afraid to tell you that they know you are hurting behind the smile, despite the happy moments and love around you.  If you have a person like that in your life.  One who remembers.  One who is brave enough to mention your pain and your loss --- you are blessed.  Often they are few and far between.  Often as the days carry us away from our loss the kindnesses of sympathy fade long before the pain eases.  Life goes on for others.  Yet your life is forever never the same.  This is never as apparent as it is during the holidays.

If this Thanksgiving finds you missing someone, take one moment at a time.  Hold the memories in your heart and smile when they run down your cheeks.  Take a moment and take in the view.  The vision of bright blue sky over a sea of clouds.  The sight of the moon pouring light into the darkness.  Witness the love that abounds around you through a gentle touch, a warm smile, the sound of laughter... Notice those moments that take your breath away.  Amazing - breathtaking moments and sites like that - always renews my faith that our life here is so small and our someday life with the Lord, like the sky, has no end - the beauty and vastness of it will forever energize our souls.  Just like the memory and love of those who we have lost is ever present in our hearts and flows through us keeping them forever alive. Love never dies.

There are many I miss who have gone before me.  Daddy I miss you most of all - I miss you today, like you were here yesterday.  18 years matters not...

Marie, Kathi, Jay, & Patty... I remember - Know you are in my heart and prayers! There's a list of others too long to name who are members of "the club" --- time has gone by - I still remember!  I LOVE YOU DEAR FRIENDS!

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON...

Jillian B Hart
Hello... It's been a while...
That happen sometimes in life.  Sometimes more then others. Somethings go in and out of our lives.  Some people go in and out of our lives.  Yet remain in our hearts.  Precious and treasured beyond words.  Feelings and reflections that words can't explain.  Those rare moments that are breath taking.  That steal the breath from your lungs.  When memories swim in your eyes and escape down your cheeks. People that do that to you.  That connect to your soul are rare.  They fill up darkness with brilliant blaze. Like a full moon decorates the endless ebony night.  They touch places inside of you that you didn't know you could feel.  Give you a high that compares with nothing except those moments that are exceptional, those moments that happen once in a blue moon.

It's been almost three years since the last blue moon. If you are a lunar gazer like me, you'll be stepping outside to take in the extraordinary view tomorrow night.  A full moon - much like any other... yet has special significance. Like those people who are forever linked to you with heartstrings.  Others may see just another friend... yet you know that their impact on you has been a force of light in your life... a rare treasure, something that happens "once in a blue moon"... your life without them, no matter how big or small the role they currently play, is inconceivable.

Look at that moon.  It doesn't come again for a long time.  Breathe it in and think about who is in your thoughts and envision all those that fill up your heart. That have left footprints on your soul.  Be sure to catch a moonbeam and make a wish for your "Harts" desire!  Take a moment and have gratitude for all that was, all that wasn't, all that is, and all that will be... That's what life is, a series of moments shared with those you love that makes you who you are today. My poem, Walk Me To The Moon, is dedicated to the "Blue Moons" of my life... not having them, not having those rare moments, is unimaginable!  XOXO

HART'S DESIRE - BABY, IT'S HOT IN HERE!

Jillian B. Hart
The night was so HOT that the city couldn't sleep. But then NYC is the city that never sleeps.  The air felt thick enough to slice as amber light came through the window. Always during a heat wave - brown outs robbing you of cool air.

The latches click and the door to the tiny balcony slides open. The open air rushing in with the city sounds and causing little relief.  Summer nights... Hotter and longer, when your lover is delayed with work long after darkness falls.

Scantily clad in a light nightie she steps onto the metal floor still hot from the day's beating sun on her bare feet. Shaking her head thinking, he'd hate me standing out here barely dressed. Peek-a-boo chiffon with a plunging sweetheart neck line trimmed in hot pink lace pushing up in all the right places.

"Exhibitionist"... She could hear him say.

"A bathing suit bares more", she'd recant.

A quiet sigh escaped her lips as she slid the cool damp cloth across her chest, collar bones and then to the back of her neck.  The moisture in the air mixing with sticky sweet sweat making her clothes cling to the curves of her body.  Earlier the cloth had been filled with ice.  Fast melting cool drips trickling over her body.  Wildly reminiscent of his tongue on her skin during intensive foreplay.  She ran her hand through her hair and caught sight of the clock on the inside wall. 2:00am. All restless, hot and bothered.  Tired only of the swirling repetitive thoughts of willing him home.

She half heartily went back inside the downtown loft. And sat at her makeshift desk with her laptop. MAC would pass the time with her and she'd write.

The room glowed only with the light on the screen. She slid the ear buds in and plugged into her favorite play list. Chasing away the sounds of the outside world to loose herself in hers words and the music.

Her fingers danced and stalled over the keyboard as the thoughts started and stopped. He watched her from the doorway. So lost in her writing that the sound of his keys in the door did not alert her of his presence.

He longed to be the keys victim to her emotional touch. Light. Heavy. Fast. Slow. Seemingly engrossed in an erotic affair.

Dropping clothing piece by piece as he undressed to escape the scorching heat that hung in the air. Amused watching her professedly murmur the flashing thoughts that emerged through her long delicate fingers and mix them with the song lyrics playing in her head. Something sexy about listening to her off key songs sounding a Capella from his stand point. Lyrics going interrupted or missing when her finger sped up on the keys.

Still she paid no notice to him as he inched closer, breathing in her intoxicating scent. The ceiling fan clicked faintly bringing the lingering aroma of her perfume to arouse his senses.  Pornographic lust rushing though his mind.  His eyes tracing her body.  Slowly rounding each curve that melted into the next. He was close enough to touch her.  Warmth flooded his body, his temperature climbing from simmer to boil as his pulse quickened with the rush. The thickening rise indicating his needs and desires. His breath ragged and labored with anticipation. Reaching out he stroked her bare arm. She gave a start swinging a one eighty in the office seat and pulling the wires from her ears.

A calming relief following the adrenaline rush once she focused on him.  She tilted her chin and flashed him a smile, "Do you have to scare me like that"?!

Laughingly, "Only when you are completely removed from the world around you."

"Yeah, there's that..."

She took in his lack of attire, commenting, "Apparently you have been home a while".

His fitted briefs molded to his legs leaving nothing short of obvious as to his mind and motive.  Her pulse kicked up a few notches.  Just the sexy sight of him with that look in his eyes, unleashed her inner vixen and made her feel empowered to be bold. Eyes locked on her smoldering with desire and want.  Suddenly aware of her parched lips her tongue ran around them leaving a glossy shine that reflected in the dim light. Still seated she leaned in and hugged him.  Gracefully wrapping herself around him as he lifted her higher and out of the chair. Helplessly sustained in the air as his mouth met hers.  Arms tightening around his broad shoulders as her legs wrapped his torso.  His steps were small and gentle as he pressed her back to the wall and leaned his body in to act as a force against the natural pull of gravity.   All while dancing tongues never missed a beat.

SUNDAY NIGHT RE-RUN

LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH
Barbara Ward- Finneran
As I lay down at night and banish the adult chaos and clutter from my mind, the quiet background thoughts of you grow louder in my head. Catching my breath I wonder how someone who is consistently my last thought at night, and so often my first one in the morning, can just be meant to be fantasies and wishes.
Closing my eyes tighter I try to chase the torture from my mind but my heart wins out as I drift to a world where we can exist as one, blessing and cursing the dreams.  Caught between the moment of knowing it's wrong and knowing it can't be wrong...
Fact? Fiction? Facebook feeling? Excerpt from a memory? Thoughts that flow from your mind?  A chance crossing of paths with an old flame.  Longing for a "fix".   Contemplating missed opportunity.  Toying with inviting trouble into your life, just because right now it feels good.  Really good.  Maybe even better then you have felt in a long time.  Perhaps even manufacturing  or magnifying troubles in your “real” relationship to justify the all consuming what if.

Who hasn't been there? Doesn't matter what the trigger was or is.  Are you being honest with yourself if you say "Not Me".
Marriage and or monogamy is a choice.  Love is a choice that we make. As time passes it’s not always a surge of passion.  Rose colored glasses crash to  the ground - making a commitment doesn't mean that you have found your soulmate.  Or that there isn't someone else out there more suited to you.  It means you've made a choice.  A promise.  A commitment.
That said, it doesn't always mean we choose right or that adjustments don't have to be made.  Being "half way" there  - embrace your choices and get to a place where you can celebrate them.  Your choices can make you feel really happy or really sad.  Amazingly the two emotions are so aligned - much like love and hate.  So choose.  Choose to be happy.  Love the one you are with - celebrate that choice - after all - you made it.  On your wedding day you make promises.  Each anniversary fulfills those promises.  In life it’s important to make commitments, but remember the importance and value of keeping the promises that you’ve made.  Love is the sum of our choices, the strength of our commitments, the ties that bind us together. Love yourself enough to choose, and then... love the one you’re with...

BUSINESS TRIP Part VII- HART'S DESIRE

Flooded With Flashbacks... Continued
Have you ever wished for a night that would never end?
Jillian B. Hart

...the phone rang and she lit up at the sound of his voice.

“Sorry, work kept me later then planned.  Still up for going out?”

“Yes, ...of course, been waiting for your call!” He could hear the smile through the phone lines.
“We’ll have a drink, or something... pick you up soon.”
Soon seemed forever.  She’d been ready and waiting.  Grabbed her bar purse and tucked a lipstick inside. Slipped on her favorite white leather boots and darted down the stairs.
“Going out?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
“With who?”
She smiled and swayed her head gently back and forth.  “You know who, Daddy.”  His expression beamed approval.  “It’s already late.  Make sure he walks you in.”  Rolling her eyes and laughing, “Always Daddy.”
