PARANORMAL PUB: Spend St Patrick's Day Hunting for Ghosts!

New York, NY - Pete and Stew Kandel noted paranormal investigators and licensed NYC tour guides aka the “Ghost Doctors” will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with spirits of another kind-Ghosts.

“Since the very first St. Patrick's Day parade back in 1766, NYC has been a center of celebration for this special day. And for about a hundred years travelers from all around the world would enter NYC via Grand Central Terminal to partake in the activities that only NYC can offer for this festive holiday,” says Dr. Stew. “This St. Patrick's Day we'll be searching Grand Central for some ghosts that just want to have fun.”

This St. Patrick's Day (3/17/12) the Ghost Doctors will lead a group of aspiring ghost hunters through Grand Central Terminal. After a crash course in ghost hunting – which will include the use of a variety of electronic and traditional ghost hunting equipment – the new recruits will set out on a paranormal quest in search of spirits of St. Patrick's Day past. “On this day even the ghostly spirits should have a bit of the Irish in them and with a bit luck and a four-leaf clover we might just experience a paranormal hooley,” says Dr. Pete.

THE DAY AFTER

Dawn Boyle
Yesterday was rough. The weather here even participated with the feel of the day, gloomy. Although I have re-lived this day every September 11th, it was a little bit different. A harder pill to swallow. It cut deeper this year. Could it have been the ten year anniversary. Anniversary - I don't even like that word for the day. Anniversary reminds me of a happy occasion - September 11th is not happy. In fact it may be the furthest from it.

The morning after September 11th was different from the day the terrorists attacked my county. September 11th I was numb the entire day. It was the 12th and from then on after that when we realized exactly what we had just been through. I have shared with you in a previous post my day 10 years ago on September 11th. I would like to take this opportunity to open the floor to you. Sometimes being able to share your own story makes it easier.

So please share your stories here in comments. We were one that day, united we stood and still stand. I look froward to reading your comments. Thank you and God Bless America!

NO PRAYER FOR 9-11

Marion Pellicano Ambrose

Again, Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York has given me reason to be glad I moved to Florida! First he excluded first responders from the upcoming 9-11 Ceremonies and now I find he has decided not to allow any religious leaders to speak or offer a prayer. Regardless of the comfort and consolation this might bring to the families who lost loved ones and those who lived through this traumatic experience, Bloomberg has made a political decision rather than one from the heart.
Our country was built on the principal of freedom OF religion, not FROM religion. How beautiful would it be to have all faiths represented, all races, religions, philosophies and socioeconomic levels together with one purpose: to remember and honor.
The days of patriotism, faith and enthusiasm are not gone. Americans can and should stand up and speak out, or in this case PRAY OUT!  Isn’t that what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did? Didn’t our founding fathers rely on faith and prayer to see them through? We need to show Mayor Bloomberg that America is not silent or apathetic. We are still the spirit filled, passionate, patriotic, rebels who rose against the powers that tried to infringe on our freedom so many years ago! This is the opportunity for us, as Americans, to defeat these attempts by politicians to stifle our spiritual expression and silence the voices of our souls.
Pray on 9-11. Pray loud and clear so that our voices will echo through the World Trade Center site, through the hallways of the Pentagon, and across that field in Pennsylvania. Pray for those who lost their lives, those who lost their loved ones, and those who lost their faith that day. Pray for our country and its leaders, that we can enter into a new era where we can once again hold our heads high in the global community and say with assurance, America is the land of the free and the home of the brave.

that challenged those at the ceremonies at Ground Zero to begin a “flash prayer” by reciting a formal, standard prayer, like the Our Father, and all who will be watching on TV to join with them in spite of Mayor Bloomberg’s plan to omit prayer. He stated:
“Those who do raise their hearts heavenward can be certain they will lift the spirits of those who lost loved ones on Sept. 11, 2001, as well as all those who have died defending our country since then. Sept. 11 will offer America a chance to deepen its connection with its creator and honor its victims and heroes. Hopefully, they will take advantage of this opportunity.”
I couldn’t agree more!

PARANORMAL PUB GHOST OF SPRING STREET

Robert Thomas Rothschild Jr.

One night whiile watching TV, I caught an episode of Ghost Stories on the Travel Channel. It featured a story about the the ghost of Spring Street. The story took place on December 22, 1799. The main players involved 22-year Gulielma ("Elma") Sands and her 24-year old soon-to-be husband, Levi Weeks. On the night of her death, the two lovers were to meet at a Manhattan well. The night ended with Levi Weeks, a carpenter, throwing his fiancee down into the Manhattan well. It was rumored that Elma revealed to Levi that she was pregnant with his child. Upon hearing this news, just days before their Christmas day wedding, Levi got angry and concerned that his reputation was going to be soiled by the fact that his out-of-wedlock child would make his name mud.
