HE SAID... WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THERE'S A STORM BREWING?

Tony Walker
Here in NY, Long Island in particular, we are dealing with the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. I was going to write something about that storm but decided against it. There are a million places to see, hear, & read about the hurricane. I've decided to stick with what I do best.... and if anyone knows what that is please let me know.

This week's He Said is actually a "He's Asking".  So my question is: Do you stay together for the kids sake or not?

Right now I know 3 people who are in their marriages solely for the kids. These people believe that splitting up with their spouse would mess up their kids. I'm sure all of you have heard that reasoning from someone you know. But is staying together for the kids sake doing more damage? If you're fighting, do you want the kids to witness that? Maybe you're not fighting but you're miserable... do you want your kids growing up thinking that being married means being miserable? Of these three I speak of, one woman recently told her husband that she doesn't love him anymore so right now they're together for the kids. She's so happy she finally got this off her chest that one would never know her marriage is over. So is fooling the kids an option too?

I look at my life.... my father split when my mother was pregnant with me. I lived with my mother, brother, & grandmother. My best friend was right next door & there were plenty of kids on my street & in our neighborhood. I had a great childhood. Later in life I found out my father was a screw up his whole life until he died in a bizarre motorcycle crash in his early 40's. I was 10 when it happened. I realized I was better off with my parents NOT together.

Based on my own story, my vote is to not stay together for the kids sake.

Tell me and all of us at DRL what you think.
Do you agree with me? Do you know kids who got messed up because his/her parents split?

JOHN MCAFEE LOSES IT!

Marion Pellicano Ambrose

John McAfee founded McAfee software  in 1987. By the early 1990s the company had grown into the largest anti-virus company in the world. By giving the software away for free then charging for technical support and upgrades, he changed the software industry  forever. In 1994, McAfee became bored with his business and stepped down as CEO . He sold all of his shares for $100 Million.  After the sale, the company continued to grow by leaps and bounds. If John McAfee had held onto his shares he would now be a multi billionaire!
Instead, McAfee began spending like there was no tomorrow. He accumulated a mansion in Hawaii, a jet, a ranch, and more. Bad investments caused him to claim bankruptcy in 2008. He sold all his possessions and barely had $4 million to his name.
It was at that point McAfee moved to Belize, where he believed his money would go farther. He began dating a 17 year old girl and opened a "new age" pharmaceutical company. It was believed by local authorities, that he was actually producing methamphetamine and "bath salts". In May of this year he was thrown in jail and his house was searched. Police found quite a few guns. He was released a day later.
Today, police announced that John McAfee is the prime suspect in the murder of his neighbor, Gregory Faull.( Last Wednesday, Faull filed a formal complaint against McAfee in the local mayor's office, claiming that the McAfee had been firing off guns and exhibiting "roguish behavior." )
McAfee is on the run from police but granted a phone interview today where he claimed that the FBI and authorities had been after him for a long time and that he was totally innocent. He believes the Prime Minister of Belize and the police are setting him up and that he will be killed if turned over to the police. And so, the millionaire/would -be billionaire has basically lost it all: his fortune, his possessions, and quite possibly his mind!
