Lately I’ve been thinking Lord

Of all your gifts to me,

My many friends, my house, my car,

My loving family.

I thank you for America,

Where I am truly free

To live my life, to have the right

To choose to disagree!

 I know I take for granted

These gifts you freely give,

So teach me to be grateful Lord

By how I choose to live.

Help me make good choices and

To plant a loving seed.

To be there for my friends and foes

Whenever they're in need. 

And finally I’m asking Lord

That when I go to speak,

You’ll guide my tongue that I may be

Affirming, kind and meek.

Thank you Lord for listening

To this my humble prayer.

It’s nice to know that I can place
