ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD CAN'T BUY YOU HAPPINESS

Just ask Demi and Heather.....
Dawn Boyle

Over the past few weeks two icons from my teens years have landing themselves in the hospital for drinking or substance abuse. Two of the most beautiful women in "MY" world, with more money than I could ever imagine decided that their lives weren't good enough. Two powerhouse women who anyone who lived in the 80's was mimicking everything from the way they dressed, spoke, and wore their hair allowed a breakup with a guy put them over the edge. My question is WHY?

TMZ REPORTS.....
Demi Moore's friend called paramedics Monday night after the actress inhaled a dangerous amount of nitrous oxide ... TMZ has learned.

Sources tell TMZ ... one of Demi's friends who was at her home told emergency workers Demi was doing whip-its. A whip-it is a street name for a type of nitrous oxide inhalant.

The friend said she became upset when Demi had a reaction to a whip-it and lapsed into semi-consciousness.

It appears Demi had symptoms of a seizure -- after inhaling the nitrous.

A whip-it is not a common drug among people of Demi's age and social status. It's typically used by younger people who are looking for a cheap thrill....SERIOUSLY???? WHIP-ITS???

ON THE SAME DAY....
Heather Locklear surfaced for the first time since her 911 emergency two weeks ago, and she says she's feeling fine.
Freelance photogs talked to her in the San Fernando Valley Tuesday. One photog asked if she had a problem with alcohol and prescription drugs. Heather was mum.

TMZ broke the story ... Heather was rushed to the hospital after her sister called 911 because Heather had taken a dangerous mixture of prescription drugs and alcohol.

As we first reported, Heather's family is trying to get her into a treatment facility, but she's having none of it.

What is wrong with this picture? Why have these two women that are adored by millions crumble? How is it that their apparent cry for help have gone unanswered? What have we done to them?

I am pretty sure the rise to fame and the crushing blow of failure might weigh heavy on ones self-esteem. I am sure that aging gracefully in Hollywood could be enough to put you on RED ALERT. But where are their heads?

The disease of addiction is powerful, the achievement of sobriety even more so. I hope Demi and Heather find their way back "home". I pray they get the help they need. I feel for their families and friends.

  1. Unfortunately this is nothing new.
Marilyn. Janis. Jimi. Heath. Michael Jackson. And so on.
The problem are who these people are surrounding them with. Where are the people who truly care about these people? The ones who would get them help before things get this bad? These celebrities latch on to these dirtbags who hang out with them in hopes of getting some money or getting their face on camera.
