HE SAID....

TONY WALKER

Happy New Years to all you lovely ladies who drive us men crazy!!
I know I've talked about this a few times but I need to bring it up again.
The other day a friend of my wife's emailed my wife. Here are a few examples of what this email said:

He said to me ... . ......... Shall we try swapping positions tonight?
I said to him .. That's a good idea - you stand by the stove & sink while I sit on the sofa and do nothing but fart

He said to me. . How many men does it take to change a roll of toilet paper?
I said to him .. .. I don't know; it has never happened.

He said to me....What do you call a woman who knows where her husband is every night?
I said to him. . .. A widow.

He said to me.... Why are married women heavier than single women?
I said to him .. . .. Single women come home, see what's in the fridge and go to bed
….Married women come home, see what's in bed and go to the fridge.

Am I reading into this way too much? As someone who is in comedy, am I just not enjoying the humor?
Ladies.... is it really this bad?

We were at our friend's house for New Year's when one of our friends told us he was just laid off. My wife's response was "Now you'll be living like Tony." I was floored. I'm busting my ass trying to make my comedy career take us to a place where we can live comfortably financially.

I help with the kids, the laundry, the dishes, & even change the toilet paper roll!!!
I know there are some useless men out there but I also know plenty of useless women!

Be honest.... tell us what you think even if you have to be anonymous.
Are most men really this bad?? I don't see it!!!

  1. I hate generalizations.....especially that men don't do anything around the house and that women don't want sex. Naturally every situation is unique and every person different. But, my husband does lots around the house....including put the toilet seat down, clean the bathroom or fill the dishwasher. We don't have defined roles.....whoever is there at the moment does what needs to be done. I think in today's world especially with the busy lives we live, this is becoming even more true. As for sex, women want sex more as they get older. If this is missing in your relationship....maybe your relationship needs a little work....they all do sooner or later.....To me, people are people and if something isn't right.....talk to them! Communicate, communicate, communicate!

  2. I think wives like to joke about husbands just like husbands do about wives, but some may carry it too far and it becomes hurtful. My husband jokes about "asking the boss" when guys at work ask him to do something, but he knows I never stop him from doing what he wants. I joke about him loving his cars more than me, but I know he'd do anything for me. These are harmless little jokes but when it comes to you earning a living,I think that went too far. I'm disabled and feel awful that I can't work and I would be deeply hurt if my husband joked about that. I also think sex is a "no touch" topic for jokes. It's a personal thing between the couple not a subject for jokes or discussion with others. I agree with Doris, if what your spouse says in jest bothers you, tell her, and if there's something in the relationship that bothers her and is causing her to joke about it, she should tell you.
