COLORADO SHOOTING: WHO IS TO BLAME?

Ever since the first word of the tragic shooting at the Colorado theater hit the air, conservatives and liberals have been pointing fingers and crying “their fault”.

ABC News was just itching for a right wing connection, so they found one of the many people named “James Holmes” in the Denver area who happens to have a Tea Party connection even though they didn’t know for sure if it was the murderer. Here’s the conversation:

Stephanolpoulos: I’m going to go to Brian Ross. You’ve been investigating the background of Jim Holmes here. You found something that might be significant.

Ross: There’s a Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, page on the Colorado Tea party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last year. Now, we don’t know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it’s Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado.

Stephanolpoulos: Okay, we’ll keep looking at that. Brian Ross, thanks very much.

Of course, it was a middle aged different “James Holmes” which ABC must have known, but they couldn’t resist taking the shot.

Conservatives have jumped on the band wagon saying that the liberal media have allowed violent, dark movies like Batman to mentally damage young people like James Holmes, and that’s what caused him to go on his shooting spree.  While I have to  agree that movies are way too violent and filled with sex and deviant behavior these days, I don’t think that was the single ,deciding factor that made this man murder 12 people and injure many more.

 As I switched from channel to channel, I heard about the need for gun control and how NRA was to blame for the tragedy, how the school system has let society down and caused the situation, how parents have failed in raising their children. There were so many fingers pointing I couldn’t keep track of who was blaming who! (or is that whom?)

Anyway, I finally saw one person on TV who was making perfect sense. He wasn’t pointing a finger or placing blame, although more than almost anyone, he had that right. He was the boyfriend of Jessica Ghawi, an aspiring young sportscaster who was killed in the theater shooting. When the reporter attempted to have him take a stand on the gun control issue, he refused and said all he wanted was for everyone to concentrate on the victims, on Jessica. He’s right. This isn’t a time for politics.  As both President Obama and Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney stated, this is a time for prayer and reflection. They both had the good sense and sensitivity to put politics aside to mourn for the dead and comfort their families and the injured.

Perhaps in a few days, we can talk about gun control, violence in movies, and all the rest. But not today, today is for remembering.

As tension rises and Israel becomes more and more concerned about the development of nuclear facilities in Iran, President Obama has promised support and if necessary, military action to insure Israel’s protection. At the same time, he stated that he believes we need to wait and let the sanctions that have been put in place  take effect and we should continue to try to resolve these problems with diplomacy.

The relationship between President Obama and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been somewhat strained to say the least. Many people believe that Netanyahu isn’t convinced of Obama’s resolve and that Israel might go ahead with attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The most telling statement indicating that Israel might end up acting on its own was Netanyahu's insistence that the Jewish state must be the "master of its fate." "The pressure (on Iran) is growing but time is growing short," Netanyahu was quoted as telling Obama during what was seen as the most tension filled meeting of U.S. and Israeli leaders in years.

 Israel, believed to be the only nuclear weapons power in the Middle East, fears Iranian nuclear facilities may soon be buried so deep that they would be invulnerable to its bunker-busting bombs, which are less powerful than those in the U.S. arsenal.

Israel insists that military action against Iran would be warranted to prevent it from reaching nuclear weapons capability, as opposed to when it actually builds a device. The New York Daily News published an article showing several attack options Israel is considering against Iran. The general opinion is, Israel will not wait much longer.

It’s clear that we are on the verge of a momentous time in history. Will it be another Holocaust if the US convinces Israel to wait, as Netanyahu fears?  Will Iran back down because of political and economic sanctions as Obama hopes? There are serious issues to be considered.

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe it’s time to start praying, because it seems that’s all we can do right now!  Pray for guidance for world leaders, pray for peaceful resolutions, and pray that all nations might grow too wise to engage in nuclear war!

As millions of my fellow Americans, I am outraged, devastated and extremely angry by the democrat's unbelievable arrogance and disdain for We The People.  Despite our screaming "no" from the rooftops, they forced ObamaCare down our throats.  Please forgive me for using the following crude saying, but it is very appropriate to describe what has happened.  "Don't urinate on me and tell me it's raining."  Democrats say their mission is to give all Americans health care.  The democrats are lying.  Signing ObamaCare into law against our will and the Constitution is tyranny and step one of their hideous goal of having as many Americans as possible dependent on government, thus controlling our lives and fulfilling Obama's promise to fundamentally transform America…

  I keep asking myself.  How did our government move so far from the normal procedures of getting things done?  Could a white president have so successfully pulled off shredding the Constitution to further his agenda?  I think not.

  Ironically, proving America is completely the opposite of the evil racist country they relentlessly accuse her of being, progressives used America's goodness, guilt and sense of fair play against her… in their quest to destroy America as we know it, progressives borrowed a brilliant scheme from Greek mythology.  They offered America a modern day Trojan Horse, a beautifully crafted golden shiny new black man as a presidential candidate.  Democrat Joe Biden lauded Obama as the first clean and articulate African American candidate.  Democrat Harry Reid said Obama only uses a black dialect when he wants.  White America relished the opportunity to vote for a black man naively believing they would never suffer the pain of being called racist again.  Black Americans viewed casting their vote for Obama as the ultimate Affirmative Action for America's sins of the past.

I was reading Marion's Lunch Time Poll post about whether we should see the photos of Bin Laden.

I love what Marion said.... let's see the photos of the Navy Seals celebrating. Let's see all the celebrations.

After watching the footage today of Obama at Ground Zero some rantings I've seen on Facebook came to mind.
Have you seen the people on Facebook posting "Obama did not kill Osama... our Navy did" & the ones where people are upset that Osama got a "proper" burial? These postings upset me. It's become the in thing to bash everything. Why can't we for once not look at labels & celebrate together? No Obama did not personally kill Osama but he was in charge! You know what? Osama didn't personally pilot the planes into the WTC but he was in charge! This is not a who is a better President thing. Obama & G. W. Bush both deserve some credit here! I understand people being upset over the proper burial. I too am glad the man is dead. I understand people saying he didn't deserve a proper burial. I knew 7 people who died on 9/11. I understand people wanna celebrate in the streets like people did in the Middle East when the attack on us happened. But we are better than them! Do we really need to stoop to their level?

One thing we should've learned from 9/11 is what happens when you live with hate. Maybe if we tried to live more with love there wouldn't be so much bashing & negativity.

Instead of a declaration of war let's declare peace!!!!

BIN LADEN KILLED

My blood runs red, white and blue. I am truly proud to be American, not only today...everyday. I am torn with emotions with the news over the death of that animal that attempted to destroy my country nearly ten years ago.

I had fallen asleep early last night to the Real Housewives of the OC and woke up to make my first of many nightly trips to the bathroom and when I got back into bed Andy Cohen was announcing that bin Laden was killed. I felt a rush of heat throughout my entire body. The images and fear I felt that morning, not knowing the safety of my husband and a number of friends and family. I was lucky that day as I held my two month old daughter. My husband did escape the horrors that occurred and would only find out in the days later the people who had touched my life that were not that lucky.

Everyone has a story of 9/11. Everyone remembers the unity of the entire country the days, weeks and months that followed. The new fears for our children, the heightened security, the War on Terror and all the men and women who bravely fight for our country.We all learned that day how life can change in a moment. We learned that you can go to work where you sit behind a desk or fight fires and not come home. We learned the true meaning of evil and how we could be paralyzed by some sick bastards with distorted views who masterminded such destruction. We learned how incredibly vulnerable we all really are.

May 1, 2011 will be remembered as the day Justice was Served. God Bless America, it's gonna be an interesting time ahead. We must NEVER FORGET. We must remember all the victims, from that day and all the days that followed, especially the CHILDREN OF 9/11. We must stay the course and be PROUD TO BE AMERICAN.

So Thursday's theme is "What's Shakin." What's shakin is my penis!!!
This piece could've been saved for a "He Said She Said" piece but Delayed Reaction asked "What's Shakin" so here goes.

Men shake their penises after peeing. Since the invention of the toilet bowl women have been carrying on about urine on the seat. Please ladies... chime in here & tell me what the problem is. If a guy pees on the seat what is so hard about wiping it off real quick? If a girl finds pee on the seat what is so hard about wiping it off real quick? Is this really worthy of a centuries long argument?

Personally, I never understand why a guy can't lift the seat up.
