Did You Know....

The word “Jedi” is derived from the Japanese words “Jidai Geki” which translate as “period drama.” A period drama is a Japanese TV soap opera program set in the samurai days. Lucas mentioned in an interview that he saw a “Jidai Geki” program on TV while in Japan a year or so before the movie was made and liked the word.

A cluster of bananas is called a hand and consists of 10 to 20 bananas, which are known as fingers.
Months that start with a Sunday always has a Friday the 13th.

There are over 4,000 chemicals in cigarette smoke – 200 of which are deadly, and 60 cause cancer. These chemicals come from the tobacco or from additives that cigarette companies add (and aren’t required to list). Besides nicotine (which is very addictive), cigarette smoke contains: arsenic, acetic acid, acetone, ammonia, benzene, cadmium, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, hydrazine, hydrogen cyanide, nickel, pyridene, and toluene.

Most elephants weigh less then the tongue of a blue whale.

There is no synonym for “thesaurus.”

Chocolate syrup was used for blood in the famous 45 second shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock's movie, Psycho, which actually took 7 days to shoot.
