WHAT A GREAT IDEA. NO MORE TWIST TIES OR RUBBER BANDS. This method is WATER PROOF AND AIR TIGHT. Brilliant!
Seal Plastic Bags with Old Bottle Caps
Cut up a disposable water bottle and keep the neck and top, as in photo.
Insert the plastic bag through the neck and screw the top to seal.
The bag is made to be air-tight, such that water will not leak, the secret lies with the top and screw cap!
This is a great idea to share. Good for us and the environment too.
That is a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteThank god it's good for the environment! What would we do if weren't "saving the planet"!?
ReplyDeleteNewsflash: the planet is fine, always has, always will. 4.54 BILLION years and still surviving the worst tsunami, earthquake, volcano, hurricane, and typhoon nature has to offer! But I'm not quite sure Earth can handle all the plastic!! Come on little buddy, you can do it...
Dear Mudslide Mike, I don't know what planet you are living on, but mine is using up it's natural resources at an alarming rate, has more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than in the last 300,000years, loses acres of Rainforest each day and has been devistated by natural disasters all over the globe!
ReplyDeleteTried this with a larger bag and it worked! No more little bugs in the cereal! (And I'M GLAD it's good for the environment!) Great idea!
ReplyDeleteMarion, I know you have always been committed to teaching about appreciation and conservation of the environment! My children are both more conscious of the gifts God has given them in nature. They know all about endangered species, reduce, reuse, recycle, and the wonder of the rainforest because of your teaching. Don't ever stop teaching children and adults and sharing your love of Science and History with us all.
