My six year old is petrified to ride a two wheel bike. Today's Lunch Time Poll is how old were you when you learned and how can I get her to overcome her fears??
That's a hard one.....I remember running up and down the block a million times and then finally when you think they have got the balance down you gotta let go of the bike seat and off they go and when they realize they can do it, there is no stopping them!!
take a Zanax before you even think of teaching her, We took our kids to the local school yard and just walked her around the walkways and lots, even the grass fields, till they got the hang of it, but you may need to find some PATIENCE before an attempt is made... good luck
I can't get her to trust me. We have done it in front of the house a few times, but she freaks out. I need a professional bike rider teacher.....ANY TAKERS????
My younger son rode first - needless to say that lit a fire under the other one! It's amazing what they will do when someone else they want to play with is riding - maybe plan a group bike riding play date. Let her choose the friends to meet at a park or something and have practice days to get ready.
